These few tips will help you loose your Weight and burn your body fat today! Weight Loss: How 3 things helped this girl lose 30 kilos without going to gym
Being overweight comes with its own set of challenges. Not only does it affect the body but it also takes away person’s self-esteem. The same thing happened with Srushti, a 17-year-old student who faced the reality and her body issues got to her. Instead of losing hope, Srushti stayed positive and changed herself, going from 74 kilos to 54 kilos in just a few months. Here is her transformation journey which we are sure will inspire many!
Name: H. P. Srushti
Highest weight recorded: 74 kilos
Weight lost: 30 kilos
Duration it took me to lose weight: 9 months
The turning point: I felt bad every time I had to buy clothes double my age because nothing would fit me. It actually got to me when I was in class 10 and I couldn’t see myself like this. My weight gain curbed my self-confidence and I hardly socialized. I realized that I had to change myself.
My breakfast: Having something light and filling like upma, vermicelli or poha is essential. I like to have one piece of date with milk in the mornings with my regular breakfast.
My lunch: I always have a full lunch with chapati and vegetables, along with curd.
My dinner: It’s usually the same as my lunch. I don’t like to skip meals.
I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): I have a sweet tooth and have always loved having desserts, chocolates but have restricted myself now. Still, on days, I like to have a bite of my favourite desserts.
My workout: I don’t prefer the gym. My workout routine is a mix of running, brisk walking and skipping.
Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Sprouts salad is one of my favourites and it is also so healthy!
Fitness secrets I unveiled: For me, the most essential lesson has been to eat in moderation and burn what I consume. This keeps me going.
How do I stay motivated? I keep myself motivated by watching fitness experts, self help videos from time to time.
How do you ensure you don’t lose focus? When I was overweight, I used to imagine what I would look like after I lost weight. That’s what kept me going throughout my journey.
What’s the most difficult part of being overweight? I stopped believing in myself. I lost on confidence as well which affected me badly.
What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line? I imagine a fitter and healthier me where I look even better than today.
What are the lifestyle changes you made? My diet changed for good. I opted for low-calorie foods and stopped taking my dinner after 8 p.m. Also, I make sure I drink plenty of water everyday and this is something I would recommend to everybody.
Lessons learnt from weight loss: My weight loss challenged me and made me active, which I wasn’t before. I gained back my self-confidence and also taught me how one can be focused when there is a goal to achieve in sight. A lot of the credit also goes to my family, who helped me throughout my journey.
