Watch: Tipperary Hurler Lands Monster Sideline During Dramatic Championship Duel


Thurles Sarsfields quest for a fifth Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship lives on after a dramatic 2-14 to 1-16 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs of their quarter-final conflict final weekend.

Thurles received due to the final puck of the game, curiosity of an outstanding pluck and smash from Tipperary star Ronan Maher.

Opposing Maher was 2010 All-Ireland winner Seamus Hennessy. Earlier this year, Maher demonstrated his remarkable sideline reduce potential and now it was Hennessy’s flip because the proficient wing-forward landed a monster effort through the second half.

The semi-final pairings are confirmed and can see Thurles Sarsfields tackle Nenagh Éire Óg and Toomevara play Clonoulty-Rossmore.
