Who is Kobe Bryant?
Kobe Bryant ( born on the 23rd of August 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. Throughout his twenty-year career, he played with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He entered the NBA straight from high school and won five NBA championships with the Lakers.
Bryant is an eighteen-time All-Star, fifteen-time All-NBA team member and twelve-time All-Defensive team member. He led the NBA in scoring during two seasons and ranks third in the league’s all-time regular season scoring and fourth on the all-time Postseason scoring list.
Has a record in the NBA for most seasons playing with one franchise his entire career and is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Bryant is the first guard in NBA history to play at least 20 seasons.
The son of former NBA player Joe Bryant, Kobe Bryant enjoyed a successful high school basketball career in high school Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania, where he was recognized as the best high school basketball player in the country.
He announced the NBA Draft after graduating and was selected at 13. the overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft was the Charlotte Hornets, who traded him to the Lakers. Former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. Sunday.
Bryant was among the passengers aboard the helicopter. Nine people died in the crash, including the pilot, said Alex Villanueva, the Los Angeles County Sheriff, during a news conference.
Authorities have refused to identify the victims until the coroner identifies them and notifies their family members.
