Evander Holyfield is a retired U.S. heavyweight professional  boxing champion. Born October 19, 1962, he won the bronze medal at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics before being elected a professional player. When he defeated James “Buster” Douglas in 1990, he became the world heavyweight champion.He lost the title of Riddick Bowe in 1992, but won the championship with Bowe a year later. However, in 1994, when Michael Moorer defeated him, he lost his title again. Hollyfield caused a lot of attention when performing on the 2005 hit show “Dancing with the Stars.”
