A ‘disgusted’ Dana White spoke to Fox Sports following the mayhem which erupted at UFC 229 after Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor to retain the light-weight name.
Nurmagomedov jumped out of the octagon following the fight and attacked McGregor team member Dillon Dannis. Moments later, a member of Nurmagomedov’s team jumped into the octagon and punched McGregor.
“A lot of stuff that shouldn’t have happened,” stated White when requested for his view of the occasions.
“Khabib jumped over the cage going after one of Conor’s guys who was talking trash to him.”
White stated that 3 contributors of Nurmagomedov’s team were arrested and brought to prison.
God is aware of what the Nevada State Athletic Commission goes to do to Khabib and his guys, I believe they are warring parties. Are those guys ever going to get a visa once more to get again on this nation?
There’s a large number of repercussions from what he did this night, ones that I do not even assume they realise but.
White stated that he has met McGregor and that the Irishman is OK.
The UFC president took the verdict not to put the belt round Nurmagomedov’s waist within the octagon.
“I said if we put the belt on him in the octagon, they’re going to throw whatever they’ve got into the octagon,” stated White.
“I said, let’s try to get him out of here without any incident.”
