After starting at Real Madrid, Daniel Parejo first made a name for himself in La Liga with Getafe. Transferred to Valencia in 2011, he continued to appear in 335 official matches for the second club and help to win the 2019 Copa del Rey, he also spent four months in England, with Queens Park Rangers.

Despite all the youth levels games, Parejo won 43 tournaments for Spain and scored 9- goals. He made his debut in 2018, at the age of 28.

Born in Coslada, a community in Madrid, Parejo was the product of the Youth Academy of Real Madrid, which he joined at the early age of 14. Daniel Parejo was called on several occasions to join the first senior team by coach Bernd Schuster to train with the seniors and during the 2006-07 season, he played four games for Real Madrid.

On the 4th August 2008, Parejo signed a one-year loan deal with Championship club Queens Park Rangers, and made his debut five days later, coming off the bench in the 2-1 victory over Barnsley at Loftus Road, for a total of 18 official appearances.

Parejo got the squad number 17- jersey, which was previously assigned to Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was also out of shape for months due to a serious injury. He appeared for few games during the season, his first game being a 4-0 La Liga away success against Sporting de Gijón,  on 15th February, when he replaced Sergio Ramos in the last ten minutes of the game.

Getafe

When Esteban Granero was again bought from Getafe CF in late July 2009, Parejo went in the opposite direction with Real Madrid, as in the case of Granero, with a similar option.

On March 25, 2010, he scored against his former club after stealing the ball from goalkeeper Iker Casillas, but the hosts lost it 2-4; Competing for a midfield start with coach Míchel’s son, Adrián – a former team-mate in Real Madrid  – he nonetheless made a strong contribution during the campaign when Getafe qualified for UEFA Europe for the second time in history League.

Parejo appeared more in 2010-2011 (36 games), but the club in the Madrid suburbs only narrowly avoided relegation.

on the 14th of June 2011, Valencia CF signed Parejo for a reported € 6 million, on a year-long loan  agreement.  he made his league debut on 15th August, playing 80 minutes in a 1-1 away draw that RCD Mallorca.

Parejo was quickly deemed surplus to requirements at his new club, his situation did not improve even after suffering a serious injury by Sergio Canales, who played in the same position. Daniel Parejo bounced back, however, for the 2012-13 season, scoring twice in 36 official games in an eventual fifth-place finish.

In subsequent years, Parejo was the undisputed starter for several managers. Between 2014-15 Daniel Parejo scored a career-best 12 goals. He became one of the best scorers in the competition from the midfielder position. in the process, he also became the first Valencia midfielder to score ten or more goals for Vicente in the 2003-04 season.

Daniel Parejo and Paco Alcácer each scored twice in a 5-1 win away to third-place RC Celta de Vigo on 7th November 2015, his first goal arrived just before half-time, through a free kick, put the visitors were ahead by  2-1. However, in January, after a poor run due to form, he was stripped of his captain position in favour of the team manager Gary Neville.

International career

Parejo was promoted to the Under-21 team the following year, having appeared in several qualifying matches at the 2009 European Championships. He was the captain for the senior team on  27th, March 2018, replaces Thiago Alcântara in a late 6-1 friendly defeat by Argentina.
