Hello, everyone. It’s been a while but I thought I’d update you all. I’m currently hospitalized for pneumonia and so, I was tested for Covid-19 and i’ve been waiting for the results for several days now. It’s been a challenging time for me but it cannot compare to the frontliners who have cared for me and to whom I am so grateful. My heart goes out to everyone in these trying times, especially those who risk their lives every day to care for their loved ones. I am hoping you all can join me in prayer for those who are currently sick and their loved ones, for every person struggling to cope in these tough times. And most especially, for the medical workers who are doing their best despite the hurdles. I count this time as an opportunity to be kind. To be a source of love and light. With the grace of God, i can fight this and we all fight this together. ❤️
In his followers’ speeches, Calzado prayed “for those who are currently sick and their loved ones, for everyone who struggles in difficult times, especially medical staff who do their best to overcome obstacles”.
“I think this is a good opportunity. Be a source of love and light. With the grace of God, I can fight against it, and we will all fight against it,” she said.
Calzado’s test for COVID-19 came a week after another actor, screen veteran Christopher de Leon, confirmed he was positive for the disease. He was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.
Calzado, one of the main actors in the upcoming television show “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin”, whose March 23 premiere was postponed due to a corona virus crisis.
It is unclear when Calzado first developed symptoms of pneumonia.
ABS-CBN ceased production of all entertainment programs, including “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin”, on March 14.
De Leon, who starred in “The Woman Who Loves You,” earlier called on colleagues to conduct self-quarantine based on the results of his COVID-19 test. ABS-CBN also urged the series’ production team to say that it had coordinated with individuals who had interacted with de Leon.
